Kobala TakeOff Point

Kobala is a popular takeoff place for the Slovene hang-gliders and paragliders, as well as for those coming from the other parts of the world. A tangible proof for that being its massive yearly attendance of individual guests, whereas the frequent organization of various national, European and world championships only confirms that. The takeoff place is maintained by the Free Flying Association POSOČJE.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Upon leaving Tolmin, we first drive towards Most na Soči (or Ljubljana) and then turn left after approx. 1500m. You will see an industrial estate on your left. We first come to village named Poljubinj, where you go straight ahead and come to Ljubinj. At the end of that village ( which is by the way also renowned for its restaurant with an excellent smoked ham and curd), there is an information board, directing us left towards our final destination. It is worth mentioning that the road can be quite narrow at some parts, especially when it comes to meeting other vehicles. So it is advisable to drive placidly and carefully.
After a more or less comfortable ride, we reach our final destination, where all our efforts are paid out. Those who have experienced that know very well why!
