Tolmin with its surroundings is a paradise for adrenalin "freaks", enthusiasts, nature lovers, water and peaks lovers. If you are among them, you are definitely asked to surrender yourself to the freedom and visit us.
Kobala Center
The KOBALA CENTER is situated on the western side of Tolmin. It's near the main road Tolmin-Nova Gorica and approx. 200m from the landing area. There's also parking place available nearby.
At the KOBALA CENTER you can:
- buy tickets
- arrange transport to the KOBALA take-off
- check the weather reports
- use it as an info point in case of an accident
- organize competitions
- socialize with other pilots before and after flying
- NEW! get refreshments from the vending machine
- NEW! get free wireless internet connection (WiFi)
- use electricity (to charge batteries, etc)
- use the toilet
Kobala TakeOff Point
Kobala is a popular takeoff place for the Slovene hang-gliders and paragliders, as well as for those coming from the other parts of the world. A tangible proof for that being its massive yearly attendance of individual guests, whereas the frequent organization of various national, European and world championships only confirms that. The takeoff place is maintained by the Free Flying Association POSOČJE.
